Director of Reliability and Failure Analysis [Taiwan]


 

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the Reliability and Failure Analysis functions at SiTime. In this critical role, you will have the opportunity to influence and shape the direction of Product Reliability and Failure Analysis across various markets, including Commercial, Industrial, 5G, Automotive, and Aerospace & Defense.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key member of the company's leadership team, fostering alignment and synergy within SiTime regarding Product Reliability and Failure Analysis
  • Provide technical leadership to define, develop, and oversee Product Reliability functions, ensuring the highest quality and performance for SiTime's products
  • Lead complex failure analysis investigations using structured problem-solving methods, collaborating with cross-functional teams to diagnose, resolve, and proactively prevent future issues
  • Spearhead the development of proprietary MEMS Reliability and Failure Analysis techniques, driving innovation within the organization
  • Cultivate and manage technical and business relationships with OSATS (Outsourced Assembly and Test Service) providers, as well as Reliability and Failure Analysis service providers
  • Define and implement Ongoing Reliability Monitoring programs to continuously enhance product reliability
  • Offer expert guidance to both internal and external customers, recommending corrective actions based on analysis results
  • Drive FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and risk management activities
  • Thrive in a multi-disciplinary and multicultural environment, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and accountability
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter with a 'can-do' attitude, possessing innovative thinking and a willingness to take informed risks to achieve organizational goals

Key Requirements:

  • A Master's (MS) or Ph.D. degree in Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of work experience in reliability engineering related to semiconductor components and modules
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to collect, disseminate, and effectively communicate information and business direction to customers (internal and external) at all levels of the organization while fostering collaborative, productive, and trusting relationships throughout
  • Familiarity with electronic packaging and semiconductor wafer fabrication
  • Experience in reliability testing for MEMS-based electronic products is advantageous
  • Hands-on experience in Failure Analysis, Electrical Fault isolation, and defect characterization tools
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to establish standards and drive toward targets
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and procedures
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in statistics, Design of Experiments (DOE), and reliability mathematics
  • Exceptional attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
