This position will focus on front desk operations and rental inquires at the City's Performing Arts Center. The incumbents may be scheduled up to 20 hours per week. May be requested to fill in for performances if other staff are unavailable.
A first review will be conducted on Thursday, September 7, 2023. This is an "at-will" position.
Examples of Duties
Maintain rental calendar for Lake Forest Performing Arts Center (PAC)
Receive/read/return telephone calls/emails from potential PAC renters
Meet with potential renters to show facility/go over policies
Determine whether renter will use contracted sound-lighting staff
Arrange for signed agreement, payment of fees
Notify LF PAC attendant of rental (share calendar)
If required, notify sound-lighting staff of rental; arrange connection
Notify cleaning crew of performance
Notify LF facility staff to ensure AC, etc., is set for performance
Process invoices for PAC vendors (cleaning, sound-lighting staff)
Maintain PAC equipment list
Notify staff of any equipment failure/damage
Compile list of future equipment needs
Increase marketing of PAC
Appropriate advertising venues
Marketing events
Represent LF PAC at outside events when appropriate
Organize, attend quarterly PAC Advisory Committee meetings
Plan, execute City-sponsored PAC events
Other duties as necessary
Part-time employees are non-benefited, at-will positions. Part-time employees are enrolled in the PARS retirement system with the City making an employer contribution and the employee contribution (6.2%) being deducted from your payroll check. The PARS retirement system is in lieu of participating in social security. You will, however, participate in the Medicare portion of social security as that is a required program
