The Role

This role sits within our City Recreation team which is responsible for tree management and maintenance. City Recreation supports the Local Government Area in scheduled preventative tree work, management of resident requests and responsive tree maintenance and removal.

This is a permanent full time opportunity, working within our dedicated tree maintenance crew based in Carlton to respond to resident requests. This role is instrumental in the effective and safe management of tree maintenance within the local government area. In this role you will be provided with on the job training and ability to learn / develop new skills.

    • 36 hours per week worked over 4 consecutive days (Tuesday to Friday)
  • $58,048.15 up to $67,255.96 per annum plus 11% superannuation

About You

We're looking for someone with a MR Drivers Licence with a can do attitude to be able to work independently as part of a team. Previous labouring experience and/ or tree removal, stump grinding and pruning will be highly regarded.


Qualifications, Certificates & Licences

  • Minimum Class MR Drivers Licence
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience working independently and working within a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to be accountable for agreed work methods, standard and outcome.
  • Understanding of and commitment to WHS practices and EEO principles.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
  • Appropriate written and oral communication skills.
