Reporting to the General Engineering Supervisor we are looking for a HT Electrician to oversee all High-Tension Electrical infrastructure, inspecting, maintaining, and approving the use off all electrical equipment and infrastructure in accordance with the approved Codes of Practice (“COP’s”) and Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP’s”) of the Kleinzee mine.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Conducts planned maintenance, frequent inspections at the site to assist Managers and Supervisors in engineering, health, safety, and quality compliance.
- Assists with accidents or incidents investigations and take necessary corrective action to prevent future incidents. Communicate recommendations of findings to all concerned parties promptly.
- Identify potential risks and ensure processes are established to manage appropriately.
- Conduct Planned Task Observations on you subordinates.
- Report non‐conformities and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Minimum Requirements (Qualification and skill):
- Red seal, qualified HT electrician.
- Proven experience as a HT Electrician in an alluvial diamond mining operation.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Outstanding organisational and leadership skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- Valid drivers’ license (EB/08).
