The Boeing Company is currently seeking a WGS/PTS Payload AI&T Lead to join the team in El Segundo, CA.

This position is for WGS F11, which is the 11th Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellite being developed for the US Space Force and the Protected Tactical SATCOM (PTS) hosted payload.

The selected candidate will report to the WGS Program Manager and will be responsible for managing integration and test planning, resource planning, procurement deliveries, execution to schedule, and overall assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) of the WGS F11 Payloads, which includes the PTS Payload, the Nadir Module and the Payload Core Module.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of integration and test for an assigned satellite in accordance with customer requirements, business objectives, and Boeing processes

  • Lead project execution to complete the work statement, identify performance metrics

  • Plan and coordinate resources required over the life of the project

  • Assign responsibility for activities to team members and ensure technical correctness and consistency of the satellite product

  • Compare actual results to the baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity, and lessons learned

  • Identify corrective actions to improve team performance

  • Ensure team members use established Boeing Space and Missile systems processes, procedures, and best practices as appropriate

  • Develop and maintain detailed Satellite System integration and test plans

  • Works under consultative direction

  • Collaborate and consult with cross-functional technical teams on spacecraft development design for manufacture and test (DFMAT) and process improvements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with space, launch vehicles, satellite programs, or other complex systems

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, and/or production system developments

  • 3+ years of experience in leading multi-skilled teams

  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in systems or subsystem integration & test

  • 1+ years of experience in system integration and test mechanical operations

  • 1+ years of experience with cross-functional team collaboration on DFMAT

Relocation:

Summary pay range: $168,300 – $227,700
