TRAFFIC CONTROLLER OR MANAGER [Australia]


 

Due to continuous growth, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Traffic Controller or Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.

Your role will include:

Reporting directly to our Site Construction Manager, the Traffic Controller / Manager will be responsible for managing, planning and coordinating the delivery of traffic services for our projects. Delivering expert services to the construction industry with the outcome of providing safe, innovative, sustainable and clever solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, manage and remove temporary traffic control schemes/signs
  • Ensure traffic control measures are established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the plans
  • Handle a Stop-Slow sign, or manage other similar traffic control signs and devices, to direct traffic
  • Complete site checks and monitor traffic behaviour and/or flow to ensure safety is maintained at all times
  • Take instructions from Leading Hands, managers, inspectors, auditors or officials
  • Perform all manual duties assisting on-site workers with varying tasks such as loading/unloading materials, labouring and set up and pack up of project sites
  • Completion of onsite documentation as required

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum 2yrs experience in Traffic
  • Ability to read technical plans and drawings
  • Attention to detail
  • Compliance with safety procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in all weather
  • Work as a team and take instructions when given
  • Must have Construction Induction Card (White Card), Traffic Control card RIIWHS205E & Drivers Licence
  • Manager position requires, Management Card RIIWHS302E

Preferred but not essential:

  • Prepare project TMP’s & TGS in conjunction with site personnel and Project Team
  • Supervise, plan, and review the work undertaken by our traffic controllers

Working under the supervision of our leading hands, the successful applicant will work in a great team environment, with the opportunity to develop experience across a wide variety of projects.

Predominantly work is Monday to Friday (optional weekend work if required)

Salary: From $25.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Common surfaces are sanitized regularly, free RAT tests available to all staff, sanitizer and face mask stations are set up around office & workshop.
