Are you ready to join our procurement team to secure delivery capability and on time deliveries in board and paper machine projects?
We are looking for Purchasing Engineer to join our Roll & Headbox Purchasing Team in Paper Business Line in Jyväskylä.
In this role you will be part of Board and Paper Mills Business Unit, that provides new board and paper machines, rebuilds and single equipment for our customers. Your main responsibility is to execute purchases of roll components. You ensure that the procurement will be executed by following-up Valmet’s procurement process and requirements for goods and supply in terms of quality, on-time delivery, price and availability. We are also expecting your participation to process, operational and supplier development. You maintain close co-operation with different stakeholders both internally and externally. More detailed responsibility area will be defined based on selected candidate capabilities.
To succeed in this role, you have

Suitable education (B.Sc or M.Sc preferably in Logistics or technical field) and preferably at least couple of years’ experience of related supply chain roles- Knowledge of procurement processes
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Solid IT skills, familiarity with ERP system is seen as an advantage
- Highly organized and detail-oriented way of working, team working skills and customer serving attitude
- Knowledge of board and paper machine’s roll components is an advantage
- Fluent written and oral communication skills in English and Finnish
- Willingness to travel occasionally
